Educated in a South Wales comprehensive school, Mandy read Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford, having gained a place on a social mobility scheme. She started her career in HR in manufacturing in the UK and the US and has subsequently worked in the public sector, higher education and the financial sector, throughout the world.
She is now the Managing Director People and Culture at the House of Commons, providing advice and support to the House and the Parliamentary Digital Service, and to MP’s in their role as employers. She is leading on workplace transformation for the House following the pandemic.
A Visiting Professor of HR Practice at London South Bank University, her specialty is in disability in the workplace.
Married with one son, she continues to live in the small Welsh village she was born in.
